New in Rondino: what changed in October
The first families are testing Rondino, and their feedback goes into the app almost every day. Here are the highlights of the last few weeks.
Two areas for parents
Everyday life and admin are now separate. The day app holds Today, tasks and notes, always at hand, on your phone too. Planning, analytics, rewards and settings live in the family console. It opens with your parent PIN, so children can’t get in on a shared device.
A simpler children’s app
Children now see just four tabs at the bottom: Today, Week, Stars and Me. When they report a task, they can briefly write what they did. The question “How was it?” is optional.
Checklists on tasks
“Tidy your room” can be split into up to eight steps that the child ticks off one by one. They can report the task as soon as everything is ticked.
New rhythms for recurring tasks
Recurring tasks can now come back every 2, 3 or 4 weeks or once a month, for example on the first Saturday. With “From” you plan a series ahead.
Timer rules in one place
In Settings › Timer you decide where the timer is offered: for the whole family, per subject or per curriculum, for all children or for each one. If a child has a timer running, you see it on “Today”.
Tip of the day and the bell
Every day at 10 a.m. the bell shows a short tip about a feature that’s easy to forget. Every message in the bell takes you straight to the right task.
Getting-started guide as a PDF
New families get the “So startet ihr” guide as a PDF with the welcome e-mail: three pages with the first steps. It’s also under “First steps” in the app.
New typeface, new logo
Rondino has its own typeface and a redrawn logo. The turquoise ring stays.
